YANGON – A woodcutter was killed last week by a crocodile in Myeik Archipelago in Tanintharyi Division, local media reported Tuesday.
Win Naing Oo, 30, was crossing a canal while walking home from work when the crocodile attacked.
Another man who was walking with Win Naing Oo escaped the attack. He ran to a nearby village to alert locals about the man-eating crocodile.
Using a motorboat, the villagers located the 5-meter-long crocodile the following day and killed it, the report said. The body of the woodcutter was found inside crocodile after the animal was cut open in the presence of local authorities.
