Administrative and Finance Assistant
The European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid Directorate General (ECHO) funds relief operations for victims of natural disasters and conflicts outside the European Union. For humanitarian aid, the Commission works with about 200 operational partners, including United Nations agencies, the Red Cross/Crescent movement and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Aid is channelled impartially, directly to victims, regardless of their race, ethnic group, religion, gender, age, nationality or political affiliation.
The ECHO Country Office based in Yangon, Myanmar recruits an Administrative and Finance Assistant.
The person appointed will be based in Yangon and will be required to travel in Myanmar and in neighboring countries. He/she will be offered a one year contract renewable on terms appropriate to the position.
The person applying for the above mentioned position should possess the following qualifications:
(1) Degree from a recognized establishment in Finance and Accounting
(2) 4 years experience in the field of administration, finance and accounting. Knowledge of international organizations or highly reputed Non Governmental Organizations desirable;
(3) Sense of initiative and rigor
(4) Able and willing to work in a multi-cultural environment
(5) Proficiency in Burmese and English and ability not only to communicate in both but also write reports;
(6) Able to follow up budget programming
(7) Capacity to work in the field
(8) Computer literate (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
