REPRESENTATIVES from eight travel companies, two hotels and one airline in Myanmar are planning to attend ITB Asia 2009, an international tourism expo that will take place from October 21 to 23 in Singapore.
Participants will include All Asia Exclusive Travel, Ayeyarwady Legend Travel, Grand Lotus, Moby Dick Adventures, Tour Mandalay, Uniteam Travel, Myanmar Polestar Travels and Tours, Myanmar Tourism Services, Sandoway Resort, KMA Hotels and Myanmar Airways International.
“ITB Asia 2009 is the best business-to-business travel show in Asia, with more than 800 travel buyers from 70 countries attend-ing,” said Dr Aung Myat Kyaw, a member of Myanmar Marketing Committee’s executive committee.
“The event is a combination trade show and public exhibition. It attracts thousands of visitors, exhibitors and media represen-tatives every year,” he said.
He added that participants from Myanmar will share a 36-square-metre booth in the exhibition area.
Other travel trade shows that the Myanmar Marketing Committee plans to attend include the World Travel Market 2009 in London from November 9 to 12; Fitur 2010 in Madrid from January 20 to 24; ATF 2010 in Brunei from January 21 to 28; Bit 2010 in Milan from February 18 to 21; and ITB Berlin 2010 from March 10 to 14.
