TUCKED away down the narrow Weikzar Lane in Mayangone township, and just off Pyay Road, is this small three-bedroom house.

It’s a simple, one-storey house but comes cheaply at K40 million. It measures a modest 1000 square feet but comes with a compound of 1500 square feet in total; with potential buyers able to expand within the compound and possibly upward.

As it stands the extra space around the house is sufficient for a car and a garden.

The house is about eight years old and it shows – the exterior paint is faded and mould has taken root underneath the corrugated iron roof. But structurally the house is fine and a new coat of paint would transform the exterior completely.

Similar ravages have found their way inside the house as well, particularly underneath the windows. But the fix is an easy and cheap one.

The living room is one of the house’s nicer points and comes with nicely stained parquet flooring and generous spacing, relative to the house. The shrine room is directly alongside and is, in turn, sandwiched between two single bedrooms, which also have the same parquet flooring.

The kitchen, like the rest of the house, is simple affair but no worse off for it – it has enough space to cook a proper meal and good lighting and ventilation to boot. There is also a low maintenance grey tiled floor.

The house only has one bathroom that provides access from the master bedroom and the kitchen.

One electricity meter and government mains waters are supplied with this house.
